24th November 2020

Dear Centre Member

This has certainly been a strange year for our hobby, with ever changing restrictions and requirements.

The good news is that we have been able to run 3 Rallies over August, September and October, including a 5 Day Rally.

The bad news of course is that we have had to cancel the vast majority of our events this year, including our AGM Rally, AGM Meeting and Rally Social Event, which was scheduled for 9th – 11th October.

With Covid restrictions in mind, we have rescheduled the AGM Meeting to Saturday 30th January 2021, starting at 11am prompt (doors open from 10.30am).  Numbers in attendance are currently limited to 30, although we will increase that number if we are able to, and for this reason, only 1 member per Family can attend.

We have decided to run a Virtual AGM at the same time for those who cannot attend, but would like to be a part of the process.

To enable this to run smoothly, we have placed  booking links on the website, and below, where you can enter your details and book your place:

Attendance AGM    https://www.cognitoforms.com/EastWarwickshireCentreCaravanClub/BookingFormAGM
Virtual AGM            https://www.cognitoforms.com/EastWarwickshireCentreCaravanClub/BookingFormAGMVirtual

Please note only the first 30 bookings made to attend the meeting (under current restrictions) will be given a place.

All bookings will be acknowledged by email, and all AGM Documents will be forwarded to you in good time for the meeting.

Those booking into the virtual meeting will receive the link and password 5 days prior to the meeting.

We are still short of Committee Members, and would like to encourage you to think about joining us and help to run the Centre.

At present there are barely enough people to form a Committee for next year.

Please contact me for a Nomination Form, which can be used by any Full, Joint, Family or Life Member to put their name forward for any of the Committee Positions.  It should be returned to the Secretary no later than Saturday 16th January 2021.

Please give some serious thought to how you could help our Centre survive.  Other Centres have not been so lucky, with  2 English, 2 Welsh Centres closing, and 2 Scottish having to amalgamate, all because of lack of Committee Members.
We don't want to be next.

Best Regards

Sylvia                                                    Barry

Sylvia East                                                  Barry Roberts

Secretary                                                    Chairman

29th September 2020

The 2020 AGM has been postponed to early 2021 due to the changing restrictions due to Coronavirus.
We still require nominations for Committee if we are to keep the Centre running in 2021.
The duties are not onerous, and we now use virtual meetings so it is even easier to attend meetings.
If you can spend a few hours during the year to help rebuild our Centre, please contact the secretary at : Secretary@eastwarwickshirecentre.co.uk
The details of the delayed AGM will be announced in due course.

23rd August 2020

If you can spare a few hours each month to help on the committee your time will be appreciated, recently due to the Covid-19 situation we have been holding the meetings virtually so you do not even have to travel, contact the Secretary Sylvia East email for nominations and view the nominations on Committee Page.

22nd August 2020

We have a provisional Program ready for next season. Because of COVID19 we have had to cancel the Rally Forum scheduled for September at Fillongley Village Hall. We are therefore looking for Rally Officers to come forward and take on these Rallies, so that 2021 can be a full Rally Season.
If you can take on a Rally please contact :
RallySec@eastwarwickshirecentre.co.uk with your details and the Rally you would like to take on. You will then receive a form by email to complete.

31st July 2020

There is now a comprehensive Covid19 Protocol which has been requested by the Club.

This will be updated as the situation changes, and as the Club requests. VIEW HERE

 30th June 2020

We have just been advised by the CAMC that despite Caravan Sites opening from 4th July, the Government is continuing to restrict any gatherings, indoor or outdoor, to 6 people.

A group of up to 30 can meet for Weddings, Funerals etc., but for no other purpose. This will now be enforceable by law, and the Police have been given powers to disperse any illegal groups.
You may think that we should be able to hold Rallies of 30 people or less, but the Club has withdrawn the Exemption Certificate, which allows us to run Rallies, until the end of July.
We will keep you informed as to when Rallies can restart, and at this point we have not cancelled any EWCC Rallies from August onwards.

17th June 2020

Good Afternoon everyone
Please see the attached guidelines received from head office around holding rallies and how to stay Covid Secure, please have a read and post any thoughts and comments , the committee would like to hear from its members what you are feeling and how you think we can get back to rallying following the attached guidelines, or indeed if you think we shouldn't.
We all have our fingers crossed we can get the season rolling again soon, but how would you feel if we have to adhere to these guidelines, either as rally participants or indeed as Rally Officers running a rally, there is a lot to consider, no socials, no day visitors and preferably no transfer of cash.
Everyone's opinions are welcome and all input received will assist the committee with future decisions on rallies.
Many Thanks
Barry

10th June 2020

The rally at Hill Farm Moreton Paddox will NOT open on the 3rd July (or even 4th), Barry is working with the landowner to work out a date later in the month. Rallies will not have any 'Social' element for the foreseeable future, indoor or outdoor, I think the outdoor social aspect could be addressed quite quickly, but Barry is waiting for Covid19 process instructions from CAMC which are due in the next 2 weeks.

17th March 2020

 Good afternoon everyone.

The information we were expecting, but hoping not to get just yet.

Updated information from HQ concerning Rallies, Meetings and Social Events.

 Basically,

 1.       Social Events (including those associated with Rallies) should be cancelled

2.       Committee Meetings should be operated via Skype, Whatsap etc. where needed

3.       Rallies can continue at this time, with various precautions.

It may be that over 70’s may not attend (their choice) leading to cancelling Rallies due to low numbers Over 70’s may not be able to run Rallies

 Cheers

 Barry

 Statement:  The National

  Dear Member

Following recent Government advice regarding the coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak, we’re really sorry to confirm the National, at Belvoir Castle, will not be going ahead this year.

This decision has been taken following the Government’s announcement to implement increased social distancing, avoid large crowds gathering and to ensure we don’t put further strain on the emergency services.

We know the National is held dear by Club members, volunteers and staff alike, but the safety and wellbeing of our members, volunteers and staff is of paramount importance, so I’m sure you will support this announcement.

We would ask that you don’t call us while we are working through the process of managing the cancellation of the event, we will begin issuing full refunds as soon as possible.  Please bear with us, this may take up to 28 days to complete.

This decision has not been taken lightly, we appreciate your support and understanding during these difficult times.

  With best wishes

 Nick Lomas
